Have Your Say on Improvements to Kineton’s Playgrounds

Kineton Parish Council has agreed to undertake a three year investment plan to improve its two playgrounds at Park Piece and Kineton Meadows. It has commissioned a specialist to provide advice which has identified an £80,000 investment need. The Parish Council has agreed £40,000 as the first investment phase which concentrates primarily on Park Piece which has the greatest need for improvement. In doing so, it is acknowledging the need for fundraising to complete the whole three year plan as soon as possible and is encouraging residents to assist with this. For example, if a parent wanted to do a crowdfunding exercise that would be helpful and would contribute to the match funding which bigger sources of funds will look for.

Whilst the Parish Council has developed a series of proposals, before it asks suppliers to provide the best value solutions for the investment in its playgrounds, it is seeking the views of local people and especially the children who will use the playgrounds. The following Google form is available for children and parents to comment on these proposals. This should be completed by Sunday 18th April.

The Park Piece playground investment will also be subject to the agreement of a new lease by Stratford District Council for the site. This is currently progressing well.
