This year will be different from previous years and now, following the latest Government regulations for Acts of Remembrance announced on Tuesday, will be different from the plans we had put in place and which were published in Outlook.
In summary the event at the Memorial will comprise short prayers, the reading of the names, the two minute silence and the laying of the wreaths. There will be no march on and off by serving personnel from the Kineton Base.
The Act of Remembrance will be “live streamed” from the Kineton memorial, and can be watched on https://youtu.be/MvLPU8RzwyI.
For everyone’s safety and to comply with the new restrictions we hope that residents will stay at home and join us through this youtube link. We also hope that you might consider stepping outside your home and standing in silence for 2 minutes at 11am.
Following the short service at the Memorial there will be a service from St Peter’s Church. This too will be different; places of worship must be closed unless used for very specific purposes, and broadcasting acts of worship is one of the few purposes specified. This will be available to view online at https://youtu.be/YSIHhMDiHtw
These are difficult times but we ask everyone to follow the new covid rules and regulations.
